At the release of Xiaomi RedMi 4 and its variants we could see how its design was similar to that of its cousin RedMi Note 4 but as it maintained the low prices of the RedMi series. The display of the new terminal, however, has that rather obnoxious black border rather often, a common trait to many low-mid-range Chinese smartphones. It seems that Xiaomi, always very attentive to the opinion of his community, listening to the user's grievances, has decided to remedy part of the question and without great clamor.
In fact, it has been noted that the new stocks of RedMi 4 sold in the official stores since January 11 now have considerably thinner black borders. They are not completely gone but they are much more subtle and if you look at the image below, you can clearly see the difference. You will also notice that the phone feels shorter, so it is assumed that the production mold has changed entirely.
Xiaomi also publicly and officially wrote that by 11 January 2017, RedMi 4 Advanced Version in gold and silver colors sold in official Xiaomi stores will have updated design and black contour lines will be thinner.
