A few minutes ago, the possible presentation date of the next one was leaked OnePlus 9RT, a moniker that suggests how it could be an updated version of the flagship killer launched earlier this year in China and India. Today's revelations also allow us to make a summary on this new device, on its main technical specifications and obviously on the alleged launch date. Let's find out more details.
OnePlus 9RT will have a 50MP main camera
The autumn season is upon us, and as usual, OnePlus is also preparing its moves to conquer even more slices in the smartphone market. We will also try with the new OnePlus 9RT, update of One Plus 9R, the latter first device of the Chinese brand to mount the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. For the rest, 9R replicates the 8T data sheet, in particular with reference to the photographic sector and the 120Hz display.
Therefore, the Chinese company wanted to mix the cards a bit compared to the past: the "T" version will be there, but not as a sequel to the current OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro flagships, but will be offered as an update of the OnePlus 9R, up to at this moment not yet arrived here (it has only been marketed in China and India). Compared to the 9R, however, there are some notable differential elements, as we are about to see.
First, here's one 50 MP main camera and Sony IMX766 sensor, borrowed from the OnePlus Nord 2 and taken from the OnePlus 9 Pro. Again with reference to the photographic sector, the presence of a 16 MP selfie camera cannot be excluded.
According to the most accredited rumors, the device in question should have a 6,55 ″ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and will be able to count on a Snapdragon 870 processor (same characteristics present in the model from which it derives), which will paired with 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Also it should support a battery from 4500 mAh, with 65W fast charging support.
In all likelihood it will be marketed with the latest OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12. It will bring several new features, including the theme archive, a private vault for secure storage of sensitive data, improved privacy settings, an information page. redesigned settings and floating windows. For user safety, it will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
All the elements seen so far, with the exception of the operating system, resume OnePlus 8T. And it is no coincidence: the design work of the brand is about to come full circle. With one difference from the recent past: it is almost certain that OnePlus 9RT will also be available here, unlike the model of which it is an update. And it will represent a notable alternative to the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.
As for the selling prices, nothing is known yet, but it is likely that they can be very close to those of the current 8T. From this point of view it is certainly necessary to wait a few days.
OnePlus 9RT: the alleged release date
This being the case, it is really unlikely that OnePlus will launch updated “T” versions of the current top of the range OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro on the market. Now we come to today's information, shared on Twitter by the well-known tipster OnLeaks. Here is the tweet:
