Oppo has just unveiled its new one A2x in China, a low-end device that aims to offer decent performance at an affordable price.
Official Oppo A2x: a smartphone that aims to save without sacrificing quality
The strong point of the Oppo A2x is the Dimension 6020 processor, a 7nm chip produced by MediaTek, which guarantees good fluidity and low power consumption. The phone is available in two memory variants: 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Both versions have a microSD slot on the left side, to further expand the available space.
Il display is a 6,56-inch LCD, with HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. This is a panel that Oppo has been using for three years for its A series, which offers good brightness (720 nits) and decent image quality. At the top, there is a small teardrop notch that houses the front camera from 5 MP, suitable for selfies and video calls.
La rear camera is single, 13 MP, with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. This is a rather simple solution, which does not allow you to take photos with a bokeh effect or with optical zoom. However, Oppo promises good shot quality in optimal light conditions.
The Oppo A2x has one battery from 5.000 mAh, which should guarantee excellent autonomy. However, details on the charging speed are not known, which could be rather slow. The phone supports two nano SIM cards and has one 3,5mm headphone jack port. operating system is Android 13 with customized ColorOS 13.1 interface. The body of the phone is water and dust resistant, with IP54 certification.
The phone is available in three colors: black, yellow and purple. The latter two have a particular texture on the back, which makes the design more attractive. The price of the phone is 1099 yuan (around 150 euros) for the 6/128 GB version and 1399 yuan (around 190 euros) for the 8/256 GB one. At the moment, the phone is only on sale in China and there is no word on whether it will arrive in other markets as well.
