After realme, Oppo unveiled its own analog of Apple's magnetic charging at the Smart Expo 2021. The technology has been dubbed MagVOOC and it's already spreading to a whole ecosystem of compatible accessories. In addition, the manufacturer once again showed contactless “air” charging.
The Oppo MagVOOC charger is very similar to the Apple counterpart. This is a small thin disc that attaches to the back of the smartphone via magnets. Unlike the Apple version, which is capable of delivering up to 15W and only when used with the iPhone 12 series, the Chinese version has a output power of 20W. The company rightly notes that smartphones must have an appropriate magnetic holder for secure attachment and charging.
Oppo also sported one 40W magnetic charging station. It has been said that this allows you to fully recharge the energy of a 4000 mAh battery in 56 minutes and only 5 minutes is enough to get up to 1 hour of use of the device. During overnight charging, si automatically activates silent mode. As part of the MagVOOC ecosystem, a powerbank with a capacity of 4500 mAh and an output power of 20W. Like the Apple MagSafe Battery Pack, the accessory simply attaches to the back of the smartphone via magnets.
At the fair Oppo he also recalled his "air" refill technology, which allows you to transfer energy to a smartphone from a distance without having to connect any accessory to it. The maximum charging power in this way reaches 7.5 W.
