A different time ago Oppo had patented a modular smartphone. It was a longer than a wide device that could be folded over itself in several places. G.alaxy Z Fold 2 seems like a joke in comparison now, as the Chinese brand has managed to develop a concept definitely nice to look at showing the final design of the above patent. To do this he enlisted the help of a major Japanese company and leading design studio called Nendo, founded by Oki Sato. But without getting lost in chatter let's go and see it.
This is Oppo X nendo, a concept phone that folds in on itself several times, decreasing its size and making transport much easier.
During the 4th China International Industrial Design Expo (CIIDE), Oppo together with Nendo, presented his idea of the smartphone of the future. As anticipated it is a patented design months ago which, however, has been developed these days in a very realistic concept. During the exhibition the brand also showed other ideas and insights he had to change the design of other products. Let's see them all.
Foldable and modular smartphone
As you can guess from the photos, the brand device developed with Nendo it shows itself as a smartphone modular but foldable. On the back it is made of modules, plates, foldable in different points. For each plate the screen is equipped with a sort of junction which allows you to fold it forward. The measures are generous: it is a very long device and that is why the company has decided to make it a foldable.
According to the project the device will make use of the nib, which we plausibly call Oppo S Pen. Using the stylus will make it much easier to complete certain tasks that would otherwise be complicated to do. The smartphone is not foldable only in three, but also in two: as we see in the image above, the user can also decide to close it like the first Galaxy Fold.
Music Links
The Chinese giant has well thought of enlisting the help of Nendo also to develop other designs. In particular we see gods products related to the world of music. Versatility is important, as is minimalism. The headphones we see in the photos are proof of this: they are nicknamed "Music Links"
The two earphones are made in such a way fit together. It is also possible to put them in the special box for charging. Oppo together with nendo have thought about one of the biggest problems for users: the portability. Smartphones are getting bigger and bigger and headphones, in this case, are easy to lose. With these concepts the two brands make sure of solve the portability worry.
