The new Xiaomi MI-Philips Eyecare Lamp LED lamp was born from a recent collaboration between the Chinese giant Xiaomi and the Dutch giant Philips. It is a special lamp equipped with WiFi connectivity and therefore able to connect to our local network in order to be controlled by our smartphone using the Mi Home application (also known as MIJIA).
From the aesthetic point of view there is not much to say, as we do not find special features compared to other desk lamps. The only different details could be the control keys that, instead of the classic mechanical pressure keys, have been replaced with soft touch capacitive keys.
In any case, coming to the "core" of the overview, we find that the Xiaomi MI-Philips Eyecare Lamp is equipped with 9 internal LEDs and can be managed in 4 different brightness configurations (through the app it is possible to act in a much more precise way on brightness). On the back we find, in addition of course the plug for the power supply, also a USB port for charging our mobile devices (it would have been useless for Xiaomi to add wireless charging, since at the moment no smartphone in its catalog supports it).
Adding the Xiaomi MI-Philips Eyecare Lamp to your circle of devices using the Mi Home app is very simple, as you just need to turn on the lamp, open the Mi Home app from our smartphone and select the "Add a device" option . Once plugged on the new product, turn it off and then press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds.
The price of the Xiaomi MI-Philips Eyecare Lamp is 269 RMB on the official Xiaomi website which, at the current exchange rate, is equivalent to about 37 euros.
