When a new smartphone is presented, regardless of the brand, the emotion is always skyrocketing for what is offered to us, perhaps even engulfed by a price within our reach, and in the throes of euphoria we forget to think about whether this device will be updated or less. A certain unknown, which has often fooled many users, such as the unfortunate owners of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, who found themselves in their hands with a top of the range with firmware that has been stopped for some time and which will never be updated.
Fortunately, this is not the case for fans of the rival brand OPPO, which just recently released a new update for its mid-range OPPO Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite.

For both models, the upcoming update brings with it the increase to the August 2020 security patches and improvements in terms of performance and general system stability. The firmware, on the other hand, remains anchored to ColorOS 7, so if you were waiting for the new version 7.1, you have to put your soul in peace. August patch and other improvements for OPPO Find X2 Neo and Lite
If you don't know how to proceed to update manually but you don't want to wait for the OTA notification to arrive, know that it's very simple. Just download the file for your device and load it on the SD card or in the device's internal memory. At this point you need to turn off the smartphone and charge it, and then continue as described below:
- Press and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device enters recovery mode;
- now click on “Install from device” and then on “Install from SD” or “Install from internal memory”, depending on the location of the file;
- click on the sign to install and click on "Confirm" to start the software update of your OPPO smartphone.
At the end of the procedure - lasting a few minutes - you will have installed the new firmware on your smartphone.
