After launching POCO X5 5G and the POCO X5 Pro in the global market last week, it seems that Xiaomi's sub brand is already close to launching the next one POCO X5 GT, a medium-high range model. In this regard, according to the latest from China today a device POCO it has been certified by the IMDA certification body. The same device had previously been spotted in the TKDN and BIS databases.
POCO X5 GT certified by IMDA: it will be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 12T with Snapdragon 7 Gen 2
Going into detail, next POCO X5 GT has been certified by IMDA with model number 23049PCD8G. On the site we find some info such as the fact that the device will be equipped with 5G functionality and will also support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. Apart from these details, the certification does not yet have any other specifications.
It is understood that the POCO Xiaomi's sub-brand X5 GT will be a renamed version of the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo (or 12T), which should be launched exclusively in China.
Knowing this, we can already speculate that the upcoming X5 GT should come with a 6,67-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the device is expected to feature the new Snapdragon 7 Gen2 processor (which will make its debut on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo), accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Barring surprises, the camera configuration of the device should be similar to that of the Redmi Note 12 Pro, i.e. a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera, while the front camera will have a resolution of 16 megapixels. Finally, the smartphone could be equipped with a large 5500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
