POCOPHONE F2 (re) appears on Geekbench, but it's a fake
Until now we have really no great information about it except the fact that we have spotted the result of a Benachmark in the well-known GeekBench database and that following a theoretical thread the new flagship killer should be equipped with the latest Qualcomm SoC, the Snapdragon 855 seen and appreciated on Xiaomi's Mi 9. In reality, the company seems to have spoiled us through a tweet of what could be the front design of the terminal, and we talked about it here, but at this time another benchmark started circulating on the net.
We specify that the benchmark result is really to be taken with tweezers, because there are two details that suggest a fake. First of all if it was actually the Snapdragon 855 SoC to animate the hardware of the POCOPHONE F2 this should have a clock of up to 2,84 Ghz, while in the benchmark appeared on Geekbench this seems to have a frequency of 1,90 Ghz. The second aspect that makes us suspect a fake is that the terminal under examination is equipped with Android Q, as the latest release of the green robot has just been released as the first beta on Google's Pixel series.

Furthermore, there are only 4 GB of RAM on the device tested when the previous generation of POCOPHONE arrived on the market with 6/8 GB of RAM. Regardless of the legitimacy of this fake news, there is no doubt that POCOPHONE F2 is coming after the immense success and critical acclaim of its predecessor. We will therefore see what the developments will be.
