How many times has it happened to you to watch a video review of a smartphone and stare at the background that the reviewer had installed on the device? How many times has a friend of yours told you, “Look at that cool”, referring to his latest wallpaper? Well, for many users of Xiaomi devices (especially Mi 9), having resorted to a particular background has created a somewhat unsolved error.
The first testimonials came from the Reddit portal, bringing to light a very serious problem. In fact, users have installed a rainbow-style background (black background with multicolored colored outlines) that appears to be harmless, which made the smartphone go crazy. The bizarre behavior first showed itself by keeping the screen on and then turning it off, then starting an on / off loop for 5-6 times until the smartphone was restarted in the MIUI recovery screen.

The solution for everyone is to proceed with a phone reset, erasing all data and then starting over from scratch with your smartphone. Many suggest that the error is not due to the background itself but to an error in the MIUI bit synchronization algorithm. We do not recommend installing this wallpaper and therefore we will not provide direct links to the image, but know that there is an application that allows you to recreate the same wallpaper on your smartphone.
Operation is not guaranteed on all smartphones but at least this application does not seem to crash the Xiaomi terminals. Well, maybe I will continue to put the photo of the cat or Christmas crib just finished to assemble as a backdrop.
