The well-known manufacturer of smartphones and electronic devices, Realme, is about to launch its second tablet, the Realm Pad 2. The new device will be presented on July 19th, according to a landing page that appeared on the e-commerce site Flipkart and has since been taken down. The tablet will go on sale a week after the announcement, i.e. on 26 July.

The Realme Pad 2 will be equipped with a large display from 11,5 inches with thin bezels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen will have a resolution 2K, or 1200p, and will support 1 billion colors thanks to the 10-bit panel. In addition, the tablet will offer adaptive brightness with fine adjustment and O1 Ultra Vision Engine technology, which improves the quality of images and videos.
The design of the Pad 2 will be elegant and modern, with a circular island of the rear camera and four speakers in a 2×2 configuration on the left and right sides (when held horizontally). The tablet will have a USB-C port, but it won't have a 3,5mm audio jack, which will force users to use wireless audio accessories or play sounds in speaker mode.
Under the hood, the Realme Pad 2 will be powered by a Helio G99 chipset, produced by MediaTek. It is an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2,4GHz and a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. The chipset will only support LTE connectivity, so there won't be a 5G version of the tablet. The other technical specifications of the device are not yet known, such as RAM, internal memory, battery and cameras.
Pad 2 will be launched first in India and then in other international markets. The price has not yet been revealed, but it is assumed that it will be competitive with other mid-range tablets. So Realme's Pad 2 will present itself as an interesting alternative for those looking for a tablet with a quality screen and decent performance.
