As scheduled, Realme has just held an online conference for the launch of the new Realme Q3 series, which includes three devices: the Realme Q3, Q3 Pro and Q3i.
Realme Q3, Q3 Pro and official Q3i: MediaTek Dimensity 1100 and AMOLED 120Hz screen at 1599 yuan (205 €)
Let's start with the design of the Realme Q3 Pro which actually adopts the same design method as the Realme GT Neo. We have in fact the front which is equipped with a 6,43 inch Samsung AMOLED perforated screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080, which supports the refresh rate of 120 Hz and 360 Hz touch sampling. The screen supports unlocking of the Fingerprints.
But the design of the back cover is the strong point of the Q3 Pro. In particular, the main color "Firefly" sees for the first time the use of a highly efficient luminous and fluorescent material that stores the light on the back cover of the smartphone during the day, so that this can be emitted at night. So that both the cover and the motto “Dare to leap”, after having completely absorbed the light, will appear like a firefly in the dark with a brilliant matte texture.
In addition, the matte texture on the back panel will bring a feeling of grain both to the eye and when we are going to hold it in our hands, which greatly improves the device's ability not to collect fingerprints. As mentioned above, such a surface can also help high-saturation fluorescent colors to be brighter and more futuristic.
As for the photos, we have a total of three cameras on the back, including a 64MP main camera, an 8MP super wide-angle camera with a 119-degree viewing angle and a 2MP macro lens. In the front we find instead a 16MP lens to meet the daily needs of selfies and videos.
As already anticipated in the previous days, the Realme Q3 Pro uses a very interesting hardware combination, namely the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 CPU, LPDDR4X type RAM and UFS 3.1 internal memory. So some great hardware for the price range.
The battery capacity is 4500mAh, it supports 30W smart flash charging and the operating system is realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. We then have dimensions of 158,5mm × 73,3mm × 8,4mm and a weight of 179g. There will be three colors available: firefly / electric blue / gravitational black.
For prices, the Realme Q3 Pro in the 6GB + 128GB version will cost 1599 yuan (205 €), the 8GB + 128GB version will cost 1799 yuan (230 €) and the 8GB + 256GB one will sell for 1999 yuan (255 €) .
Moving on to the standard version of the Realme Q3, this adopts the “y2k” style also known as the Millennium Bug, bold and avant-garde. The nano-level holographic texture is displayed on the DARE TO LEAP motion, featuring changing holographic colors and rainbow-like color changes within a perfect metallic texture.
The screen on board the Realme Q3 is a 6,5-inch LCD panel that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz (4-speed variable rate refresh rate), a tactile sampling rate of 180Hz, 405ppi and brightness adjustment at 4096 levels.
For the CPU, Realme went with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G, a chipset of the same generation as the Snapdragon 865 with Cortex A77 core and fifth generation GPU and AIE architecture. The processor is then coupled to a gaming-grade VC liquid cooling system, allowing for quick heat dissipation and smooth gaming.
Here the cameras comprise a 48MP ultra-sharp main, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies we have a 16MP camera.
The Realme Q3 is powered by a 5000mAh battery, weighs 189g and is 8,8mm thick.
In terms of price, the 6GB + 128GB version will cost 1299 yuan (€ 165) and the 8GB + 128GB version will sell for 1399 yuan (€ 179).
Finally, Realme also unveiled a new entry-level 5G smartphone, the Realme Q3i.
Compared to the Q2i, the screen has been upgraded to a 90Hz refresh rate and the camera has been upgraded to a combination of three cameras with a 48MP main, there is also a side unlock button.
The Realme Q3i 4GB + 128GB will cost 999 yuan (130 €), with the 6GB + 128GB version costing 1099 yuan (143 €).
