360 S7 review: the robot vacuum cleaner that sweeps and washes
The smart cleaning sector is booming and there are many companies that try to have their say in this market by offering almost daily solutions to meet the domestic needs of the average user. Lately we talked about wireless electric brooms, which, however, need physical presence to perform their task, but if you are lazy or are always away from home so much so that you cannot spend even half an hour cleaning how to do?
Robot vacuum cleaners come to the rescue, a type of product in which the 360 company knows its stuff, so with today we face together the review of the 360 S7, a robot washes and vacuums floors that really promises to simplify the arduous task of Cinderella. tech 2.0.
We must necessarily start from the contents of the package, which for this 360 S7 is very rich, including everything necessary for correct operation. Inside we find:

- mat with TPU adhesive base for charging base;
- dust tank with HEPA filter;
- sticker to customize the look of the robot;
- water tank;
- replacement of water dispensing filters;
- 1 mop per wash;

As for the design of this robot vacuum cleaner, we shouldn't expect who knows what differences from what we find on the market. In fact, we are faced with a product with a circular shape with a diameter of 35 cm, a height of 10 cm and a weight of 3,68 kg, whose highest point is represented by the laser turret for mapping the area that will be cleaned. The color is white with a small circular insert in gold rose that runs along the entire upper circumference of the vacuum cleaner.
Excellent construction in ABS material that resists without problems to shocks and damage that could be caused accidentally, thanks also to rubber reinforcements that run along the front of the robot, inserted in the mobile block with the function of attenuating any collisions with furniture and / or obstacles in general.
On the upper part we find two buttons that will be used to turn on / off the robot and start a cleaning / washing session without necessarily having to resort to the application, or to return the gadget to the charging dock but also to start a dedicated cleaning to the perimeter area of about 1 meter around the position of the vacuum cleaner. By keeping the buttons pressed at the same time for a few seconds, you can reset the robot WiFi to make a new association.
Also on the upper part we find the laser turret already mentioned above and the lid, which once opened conceals the dirt tank with a capacity of 570 ml in which the HEPA filter is also housed. Both modules can be removed and washed for better maintenance and durability. There is also an LED that certifies the operation of the WiFi, a reset button and a tool that will be used for cleaning the filter and for removing hair / hair from the main brush, by means of a small blade.
On the back of the 360 S7 we find a small wheel with 360 ° movement that will allow the robot to direct itself, a side brush that will convey the dirt inside the suction mouth in which we find the main propeller brush, also removable for the possible cleaning and removal of hair / hair stuck, using the supplied tool.
360 S7 moves by means of rubberized and reinforced wheels that allow the robot to overcome obstacles up to 20 mm thick. Complete the overview of the back, the presence of 4 anti-fall sensors. On the front we find an ultrasonic radar, anti-collision sensors and a TOF sensor for the detection of objects and obstacles, protected by a cushioned band that allows to cushion all those impacts that can damage both the furniture and the vacuum.
Finally, there is a speaker from which the 360 S7 will give us information about the working status, a ventilation grid to dissipate the heat generated by the engine and two metal brackets that will join with the respective ones present on the charging dock, the which also integrates an LED that gives us a glance on the actual operation and a cover on the back, which will allow you to wrap the excess cable of the power supply.
And since we brought it up let's talk about autonomy, considering that 360 S7 integrates a 3200 mAh battery that recharges in about 3 hours, while the working time at maximum power is around 50 minutes, a value that can be brought at 80/120 minutes if standard or ECO mode is used. Here, if you have a house larger than 100 square meters, know that 360 S7 will not perform an entire cleaning with a single session, therefore when it reaches 20% it will automatically move to the charging base and then resume from where it left the work, when the value of 80% is reached.
One thing I didn't like is the position of the water tank, which is located at the charging connectors, so even if the robot is equipped with various safety systems, this still represents a risk.
In any case, this vacuum cleaner has a great value, namely the mapping precision and quality of the cleaning offered. The LDS Lidar + SLAM algorithms are exploited, which give accurate maps and allow the 360 S7 to perform an intelligent cleaning path, ensuring high coverage and efficiency.
After having carried out the first mapping of the house, in which the robot will detect the floor plan of the environment and all the possible obstacles, the 360 S7 has always behaved excellently, managing to wisely divide the various rooms of the house and manage the cleaning in an intelligent way, if necessary, washing one room at a time.
Although the wheels are well clawed, electric wires and soft carpets are real enemies of this robot, which could therefore crash by sending a request for help via the app as well as with the voice via the integrated speech synthesis system.
4 suction powers are available, which in turn also generate a different noise, however limited to 65 dB for maximum power. We find a maximum suction power of 2000 Pa, but we also have powers of 400, 800 and 1200 Pa available. Personally, I have always used the two modes with greater power, in order to have perfect suction. The washing phase was rather satisfactory, as long as there were no spots or streaks on the floor, because the washing in general was poco incisive. In any case, the result is decidedly positive, without streaks, but the 150 ml water tank allows a maximum cleaning of 45/50 square meters. Among the many functions we also find the carpet mode available, which automatically adjusts the power on areas such as carpets, but as mentioned before pay attention to soft carpets: on these the 360 S7 goes into block. OK instead to doormats and thin carpets.
Although the 360 S7 robot is basically functional simply with the management of the two buttons, it is through the 360Robot application that we can best squeeze all the smart features. Well done application, available for both Android and iOS systems, but a certain slowness in terms of commands should be reported, probably due to the server.
A WiFi connection is required and theoretically we could also control our robot via Alexa, too bad that for Italy this functionality is not yet supported, so much so that the app itself is only in English. The main screen offers 3 cleaning modes such as:
- Room, from which we can choose the cleaning of the rooms in a personalized way, for example by dealing with the dirt of the kitchen at maximum power and at the minimum power that of the bedroom.
- House, will allow the cleaning of the whole house, possibly excluding certain areas / rooms from cleaning we can start the cleaning throughout the house;
- Area, as the name suggests, we can choose certain areas to clean excluding everything else.
In each of the available modes, you can choose whether to proceed with vacuuming, washing the floor, or in combined action. We then have the TOOLS window available, from which we can edit the map, for example renaming the rooms, view the cleaning history, enable the RC mode that will allow us to control or better guide the robot from our smartphone by means of a virtual joystick. . We can also carry out any firmware updates, view the maintenance status of the filters and sensors, download new items for the robot (unfortunately I repeat the absence of Italian), find the position of the 360 S7 if it is stuck in a hidden corner of the house , but above all we can schedule the start of a cleaning / washing for a specific time and / or day of the week.
Finally, you can change the device settings, such as the ability to turn off the LEDs of the buttons if they bother you at night.
It is also possible to set virtual walls, beyond which the robot will not go, or to set red areas, both for the suction function and for the floor washing function, which the 360 S9 will avoid with precision.
This 360 S7 robot vacuum cleaner is currently sold on a flash offer by Gearbest at a price of around 294 euros, a very good figure if compared to direct competitors, offering everything you need for an accurate, precise and satisfactory home cleaning. I did not see any particular critical issues even if the compromise of a “narrow” autonomy must be digested. But this is only valid if you have an area over 90 square meters and in any case the self-recording system from the precise point where the cleaning session was left is something that overshadows this small deficit.
