The Nubia sub-brand has just presented the new Red Magic 5S. The smartphone comes with a revised cooling system which includes a silver steam chamber. All other specifications remain similar to the Red Magic 5G launched in March.

As just mentioned, the big news of the 5S is the silver cooling pad which should provide better results than the traditional copper pipes that we find in most smartphones. The 5S also maintains the 15.000 RPM fan of its predecessor, which helps cool the device while charging to the maximum power of 55 W.
As for the other specs, the Red Magic 5S adopts a 6,65-inch AMOLED display with minimal upper and lower bezels. The refresh rate is 144Hz, while the touch sampling settles at 240Hz. We also find capacitive tactile triggers that have an even higher touch frequency at 320Hz for optimal performance even in the most competitive games.
On the back are a 686 MP Sony IMX64 main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide and a 2 MP macro sensor.
The Red Magic 5S is then powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset associated with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory. Finally we find a 4500mAh battery and Red Magic based on Android 10 as an operating system.
The Red Magic 5S starts at a price of 3.799 Yuan (€ 460) for the 8/128 GB version, 4.399 Yuan (€ 535) for the 12/256 GB variant and 4.999 Yuan (€ 608) for the 16/256 version GB.
