ZTE has just launched the new Red Magic 7 and Red Magic 7 Pro on the market. In particular we have the Red Magic 7 which starts at 3999 yuan (560 euros) for the base model with 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal memory, while the Red Magic 7 Pro has a starting price of 4799 yuan (670 euros) for the model with 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory.

Going to the specs, the Red Magic 7 is ZTE's latest gaming phone that comes with a 6,8-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution and an incredible touch refresh rate of 165Hz, so this panel is probably great for mobile gamers. Below the display, the Red Magic 7 integrates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This processor is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Furthermore, the device is powered by a large 4.500mAh battery which also supports 120W fast charging and runs on Android 12 as the operating system.
For photos, the smartphone comes with a total of three cameras, including a 64-megapixel resolution main lens, the sensor is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
Another strong point of the device is its cooling system. In particular we find the ICE 8.0 cooling system which includes an RGB fan that runs at 20.000 rpm. We also have nine heat dissipating materials and a large VC liquid cooling plate. Other features include accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, dual stereo speakers, 3 microphones, and even a 3,5mm headphone jack.
Moving on to the more premium Red Magic 7 Pro, this high-end variant has many of the same features as the base version but with a few additions. The first is the Red Core 1 chipset, a dedicated chip that was designed to enhance the gaming experience on its latest flagship device. Also for gamers, the smartphone has dedicated side buttons that together with the Red Core 1 offer a sampling rate of the touch of 500 Hz. In addition, the chip also helps to improve the audio on the 7 series.
Otherwise, the smartphone has a very clean front design as its selfie camera is hidden under the display to offer the smoothest gaming experience. It also features the same display as the non-Pro version but with a 3% DCI P100 color gamut, 10-bit colors, DC dimming and more. It also features a fingerprint sensor built into the display that supports heart rate monitoring.
The Red Magic 7 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC but paired with up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of internal storage. With the expansion of virtual RAM it can reach up to 24 GB of total RAM.
For photography, the smartphone has the same three 64-megapixel cameras, along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it sports a 16-megapixel camera below the display.
The gaming phone integrates a large 5.000mAh battery that offers 135W fast charging that allows it to charge from 0 to 100 percent in just 15 minutes. Additionally, the device also comes with the first 165W GaN charger on the market.
The Red Magic 7 series is available in two color variants for both the Pro and the basic model, namely Dark Knight and Cyber Neon, in addition to the Transparent Edition.
