In recent weeks we have read several rumors regarding the new series of Redmi devices dedicated to the Chinese market. One of these devices is expected to arrive with the name of Redmi 10X 4G, but its specifications seem to change from day to day.

In fact, some time ago, we reported that it could be a simple rebrand of the Redmi Note 9 presented in a global version on April 30th. Well, apparently a new leak would deny that news, suggesting slightly different hardware instead.
As we can see in the image above in fact, the Redmi 10X 4G would have been caught on Google Play Console with the code name "Merlin". The device seems to be equipped with a MediaTek MT6769, also known as Helio G70 and therefore a different CPU than the one we find on board the Redmi Note 9 which instead adopts a MediaTek Helio G85.
Also in the screenshot we see that the smartphone incorporates 4GB of RAM and a display with Full HD + resolution (1080 x 2340) and DPI (density per inch) of 440. So unless surprises, we should have to deal with the same panel to be 6,53 inches diagonal of the Note 9.
If the display does not change, most likely the rest of the components will not change either, this means that we will find a 48MP main camera with a focal aperture of f / 1,79, assisted by an 8MP ultra wide angle lens (aperture f / 2,2, 2), a 2MP macro lens and finally a XNUMXMP depth sensor to take pictures with the bokeh effect.
As for the battery instead, we will almost certainly find a large 5020mAh battery with support for fast charging at 18W through the USB Type-C port. While among other specifications we should have a 3,5mm audio jack, an infrared emitter, NFC module and Bluetooth 5.0.
In any case, this Redmi 10X seems more and more not a very interesting device, at least for us Italians. In China it could instead become a must buy in the super entry-level category.
