The most entry-level smartphone of the Xiaomi sub-brand, or the Redmi 9A, seems increasingly close to the arrival. After seeing it on FCC certification site a couple of days ago, the device has in fact just appeared on the NBTC website, the Thai smartphone certification platform.
Redmi 9A also caught on NBTC, presentation around the corner?
The terminal certified on NBTC arrives with the model name M2006C3LG, but as we can clearly see also on the site, the real name will be Redmi 9A. Unfortunately, however, we do not learn many news from the certificate, if not the presence of the new Xiaomi operating system, or MIUI 12; then we find support for two SIM cards and support only for 2,4Ghz WiFi. So we will not find compatibility with 5Ghz WiFi networks (also known as AC).
As for the other specifications, in the previous days we learned that the smartphone will equip a large 4900 mAh battery with fast charging support with a maximum power of 10W. Obviously there will be support for 4G networks, while the final dimensions will be 164,85 × 77,07 mm (height and width).
On the photography side, the predecessor of the Redmi 9A, or the Redmi 8A presented in September last year, came with only a rear camera and therefore no secondary 2MP sensor to take photos with the much-requested bokeh effect. The Redmi 9A is expected to see the first improvement with a second camera on the back.
The same goes for the amount of RAM, which on the Redmi 8A reached a maximum of 2GB, while on the 9A it should instead reach a maximum of 3GB (probably there will always be a cheaper option with 2GB). At the moment this is all we know, keep following us for future updates.
