As you may have already understood from the title, the smartphone has received quite positive feedback going sold out in just two hours from the start of sales. The news comes from the general manager of Redmi and vice president of Xiaomi Group, Lu Weibing, in person. In fact, on the Chinese social network, Weibo shared the message: “The first sale of the K30 5G saw stocks run out in just two hours. Thanks for your support and affection. The next lot will go on sale on Friday, January 10 ".

Now, despite the fact that we are clearly talking about sales in China, the news concerns us as many of the units sold are probably purchased from stores from which we can buy later. So in fact, in the next few days offers may begin to appear on the Redmi K30 5G; a really interesting smartphone from the point of view of the specifications, whether you then go to use or not the 5G technology.

The K30 5G by Redmi arrives in fact with a 6,67-inch diagonal screen, with a very high refresh rate, we are talking about 120Hz. In comparison, most smartphones on the market adopt a 60Hz refresh rate, with some going up to 90Hz. While those with a 120Hz screen can be counted on the fingers of one hand - one of these is just announced Realme X50 5G.

Qualcomm's latest mid-ranger processor, the Snapdragon 765G, also makes its debut with the Redmi device. A chipset produced with 7nm technology and EUV process, which brings about a 35% reduction in consumption, a 40% increase in graphics performance compared to the previous generation and a doubling of AI computing power.

The processor also integrates a 5G module to be able to connect the smartphone in dual-mode NSA / SA. A more mature technology when compared to what we find on smartphones such as the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G which is NSA-only.

Another novelty that debuts on the K30 5G is the Sony image sensor, the Sony IMX686, with a resolution of 64MP. The sensor is accompanied by an 8MP secondary camera with an ultra wide angle lens, a third with a macro lens and a fourth 2MP depth sensor. In addition, even if it is a medium range, Redmi claims to have added all the software features usually dedicated to flagships, such as the super night mode which uses photos taken in RAW format instead of YUV to maximize the data captured by the sensor.

Staying on the subject of cameras, in front we find two hidden in the pill-hole on the display at the top right with a resolution of 20MP (normal lens) and 2MP (depth sensor). Although in reality it deals with two separate holes joined together via software, as we have seen in this post.

Among the other specifications on board the Redmi K30 5G we find fast charging at 30W, which according to the Chinese brand adopts an optimized algorithm to speed up charging even further. We then have a large 4500mAh battery, an NFC module to make electronic payments and a feature called Multi-Link to use the 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz WiFi and 5Ghz and 4G or XNUMXG technologies all at the same time; therefore going at the maximum speed available for download and upload.
