As promised by the president of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, a few days ago, the Redmi K30 seems closer and closer. The next Xiaomi sub-brand flagship killer has in fact just been found on the Chinese Chinese smartphone certification site 3C in which we also learned some more details; let's find out which ones!
Redmi K30 certified in China, 5G and recharge to confirmed 30W
As we can see in the image above, the Redmi K30 is given with the model name "M2001G7AE" and is also categorized as a smartphone "5G Digital Mobile Phone", thus confirming that the device will support the next generation network protocol. We also learn from the certification that the factory that will produce the smartphone will be Inventec Appliances Jiangning Corporation.
Finally, the only other data we can see in the screenshot are the different types of reloads supported. In particular we have the reload at 5V3A (18W), 9V3A (27W), 12V2.25A (27W), 20V1.35A (27W) and lastly the 10V3A for a maximum charging power of 30W. In any case, nothing exceptional as we find the same top-up already available on the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 which technically is not a flagship.
As for the other specifications, the first smartphone with 5G technology produced by Redmi should equip a MediaTek Helio M70 processor. The last CPU of the Chinese chip maker with support for the 5G SA / NSA Dual Network Mode technology. The latter should be faster and more stable than other 5G smartphones currently on the market.
That said, new rumors suggest instead that the Redmi K30 can adopt a Qualcomm processor, or the Snapdragon 735 5G with support for the same technology mentioned above.
So the Redmi K30 will be a bit like the basic Redmi K20, with a medium-high range CPU but with 5G connectivity. While for Redmi K30 Pro we will have to wait a few more months and almost certainly will adopt the next Qualcomm Snapdragon 865.
