New for Redmi Note 7 Pro: will be water repellent thanks to P2i!

Not only mid-range lovers are waiting anxiously and a lot of hype Notes redmi 7 Pro that the next one will come out 18 March in China. This is because we are getting closer and closer to a mid-range device that has many of its own characteristics of a top of the range. We mention one for all: the Notes redmi 7 Pro will mount the same main photographic sensor of the Mi 9, ie a Sony IMX586. There's no need to worry about mid-range premium specifications though, as Redmi will continue to produce these types of devices while I will always focus on the tops. But another feature that we did not know yet of the device in question concerns the "External structure", as Xiaomi has announced that the new Redmi will be water-repellent. You say, "Oh well, already the Note 7 is indestructible, but also water repellent?" Yes, that's right and we tell you why.

New for Redmi Note 7 Pro: will be water-repellent

We know the well-known Chinese blog Read that lets us know how Xiaomi has announced that the P2i company (a company specialized in the production of "coatings", that is water repellent covers for any type of product, from electronics to the military sector) has worked alongside the Xiaomi construction team to produce a device of another level and high level. What the company in question would do is reproduce the microstructure of the lotus leaves, which are indeed water repellent. We also know that the method used to "place" this type of coverage on the device is done through a process called "pulsed plasma": in a vacuum environment the coating is applied thanks to a particular type of steam that subsequently comes ionized. This coating turns out to be a thousand times (absurd eh!) thinner than a hairtherefore, it results with no fear of users for the thickness of the device. Ah, maybe we took it for granted but it is not: the device is EVERYTHING capped from this sort of protection, not just the screen or the back panel.

All these big words to say that a smartphone is water-repellent: there is a bit 'of advertising, it is true, but it is equally true that this coating does not protect from fingerprints left by the daily use on the screen. Xiaomi, did you do 30 why not do 31? Seriously, this type of technology applied to a smartphone could be among the first in the world and it is not good to underestimate how our favorite brand is always looking for more than experiment with new technologies applied to its products because the mantra that reads "technology for everyone"Threatens to shake the other OEMs in the true sense of the word.

What do you think of this coating? Is it really useful in a smartphone? Please let us know in the comments.

I believe that impermeability or more precisely water repellency is today an indispensable requirement for an object that accompanies us in every moment of the day and night due to its functionalities. So good Xiaomi to continue on the constant improvement of their products!
