We have been talking about it for over a year and today it has finally arrived, we refer to the Redmi Watch, the first real smartwatch of the Xiaomi sub brand, as the only other wearable wrist of the brand is the Redmi Band previously launched in China and known by us under the name of Xiaomi Mi Band 4C.

In any case, returning to the new Redmi Watch, clearly it is the cheapest smartwatch released by Xiaomi; but that doesn't mean the specs are bad.
So let's go see the features revealed today starting from the square shape of the display, very similar to wearable like the recent Amazonfit GTS 2, which in turn is similar to the Apple Watch. However, it is noted that we are faced with something cheaper, with a case that looks like plastic (to be confirmed) decidedly less premium. The positive side (if it were plastic) is that the weight is reduced to only 35 grams.
Another possible advantage in having the plastic case is to find it in more shades than usual. The brand has in fact launched three colors for the case: beige, black and blue; while the straps will be available in 5 colors: black, beige, pink, green and blue.
Moving on to the features, the smartwatch adopts a 1,44-inch display and a heart rate sensor with 30-day tracking that will notify us of sudden changes and therefore possible cardiac anomalies.
The Redmi Watch is also excellent for those who practice sports thanks to its waterproofness up to 50ATM and the presence of 7 unspecified sports modes, except for the one for indoor swimming. It will therefore be able to keep track of strokes and much more, making it very useful for those who practice swimming.
There is also the NFC chip to be able to make payments or buy the bus ticket, at least in China. While the autonomy will be about 7 days and you can get to 12 in standby mode.
Finally, let's get to the real strength of the Redmi Watch: its price. The smartwatch will have a list price of 299 yuan, or about 38 euros and can be purchased in China starting from December XNUMXst.
