The specialists of the analysis company IDC they sketched one forecast relating to the smart home device market. According to them, the market will not show signs of stopping and indeed, it will grow dramatically over the next few years. The growth has actually already begun since the first lockdown. Looking at the data we see how in 2020 801,5 million smart home devices were shipped. This is the 4.5% more than in 2019

Analysts estimate that shipments will reach 1.428 billion units in 2025. The average annual growth from 2020 to 2025 should be 12.2%. Absolutely mind-boggling numbers. But inside the report it is interesting to see which smart home products are the most popular. In this regard, it should be noted that the video entertainment segment is the most profitable. This includes smart TVs, players and other video devices connected to the internet. While this will remain the largest ever, its volume will decline from 37.0% to 27.6%, with stable annual growth of around 5%.

The segment of home video surveillance, albeit of poco, about 1%, while that of smart speakers will decrease by about 2 percentage points. In general, however, the share of devices in all other categories will increase from 26.2% to 36.9%, with a consequent increase of kinds of product inside the smart home.
