Those of us who have had the vaccine, have probably already received an SMS in which they are invited to download their green Covid-19 certificate in which sensitive data related to the person and the vaccination undertaken are reported, as well as the validity of the certificate and QR Code of the same for a faster recognition by foreign bodies.
Many have downloaded and printed it, many have stored it as a PDF on their smartphone, but soon they will be able to store it directly in the Google Pay app, the same that many use for digital payments with their smartphone.

Thanks to this implementation, anyone can have their COVID vaccination certificate on their phone and without the need to install anything, considering that generally Google Pay is one of the apps pre-installed on an Android smartphone, but the even more interesting thing is that it does not you must have a smartphone equipped with NFC. - You can create a link to the COVID certificate on your phone's home screen;
- Your COVID passport will be protected by your fingerprint, lock PIN or password (you can select one of the three options);
- You will not need to be connected to the internet to access the COVID passport (unlike other applications).
It is also worth mentioning that Google has reported that this certificate is saved on the device locally, so the data that appears in the COVID passport will not be stored in the cloud. At the moment, however, the functionality is only available in the United States, but considering the importance of the topic, the sooner it will reach the rest of the world.
