I'm now on the fifth test, and as always Tronsmart hits the mark! This time I tried the Tronsmart Bang Mini, indeed I tried 2 in TWS and I assure you that I had a lot of fun!!

CONFEZIONE

In the package, as always with attention to detail also aesthetically and from the point of view of the protection of the case, we find:

DIMENSION, WEIGHT CONSTRUCTION QUALITY

Definitely not small and light but after all if you want a robust and quality product you need precisely opposite characteristics. Aesthetically beautiful, the polycarbonate that covers the handle and all the rest of the aluminum alloy structure is excellent. Dimensions are 30cm long by 17cm high and 12.5cm wide. The weight is 2.4 Kg. The degree of waterproofing IPX6 therefore no problem for use even in areas where there are splashes of water (poolside) or in the rain. The sensation to the touch and to the transport is really excellent, product feedback PREMIUM!

INPUTS

The inputs of our Bang Mini are, as usual Tronsmart, complete. Indeed, we find the connection Bluetooth 5.3 TWS (true wireless stereo), classical USB Type-A (for our USB sticks), entrance AUX audio jack from 3.5 mm, TF/SD card and USB Type C for charging. The entrance area is protected by a rubber cap to guarantee the watertightness that we remember to be IPX6.

We will therefore have no problem using it with all our audio sources, from spotify to the audio of our Notebook / Smartphone, from our USB pendrive to our mobile phone even with a 3.5mm Jack output.

We also find a Chip NFC which will allow us to quickly connect the cash register to our phone. In fact, it will be enough to place the smartphone with the NFC activated and the connection will take place automatically. If, on the other hand, your phone does not have this technology, you will have to do the classic procedure via Bluetooth

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE ITEMS

Our case is made up of 2 speakers for the high-mid sounds placed in front, 2 woofers for bass sounds behind e 2 passive radiators on the sides that will move in function of bass sounds. These passive elements also host a LED circular that will light up in time with the music with 3 different modes that can be set using a key.

FUNCTION KEYS

On the front of the case we find all the keys that will allow us to control our speaker. Some also perform a double function, here is the list with the related functions:

• On/off key: hold it for 2 seconds to turn it on and off, press it once (when on) to switch between the various audio inputs (BT-TF/SD-USB-AUX)
• Minus key: Press it once to turn down the volume, press it for 2 seconds to go to the previous song
• Play button: press once to play/pause, press 2 times to enable voice assistant, during an incoming call press once to answer/end the call and 2 times to reject the call, press for 3 seconds to disconnect from the Wi-Fi, press it for 8 seconds to reset the speaker.
• Plus key: press it once to turn up the volume, press it for 2 seconds to skip to the next song
• SoundPulse button: press it once to activate/deactivate the SoundPulse EQ function
• Pairing Mode button: press it once to enter TWS linking mode with other Bang Mini and press it again to exit the mode
• Light Switch key: Press it once to switch between three modes – breath mode, circle mode, LED off

The speaker is equipped with a built-in microphone and we can therefore use it as a speakerphone for our audio calls. If it is connected in BT with the smartphone, when a call comes in, the voice will be reproduced by the speaker and the enabled microphone will also be his.

HOW BANG MINI FEELS

Like all Tronsamart products.. very good! What left me pleasantly surprised was the clarity of the mid frequencies, which even allowed me to hear particular details that I had never heard in some songs. This is certainly a great result that is normally only obtained with high-end in-ear headphones or very expensive studio monitors. So absolutely full marks for the mid-high sounds that reach the 20KHz. The low frequencies are also very good, but they do not reach levels felt on other products of the brand, such as the Element T6 Max. In fact, here we go down to 60Hz, while in the T6 max we reach 20Hz. These are DJ details, for the average user there will be absolutely no possible differences and the bass will be deep and powerful.

But if you really want to fully enjoy crazy audio then you have to take 2 speakers and connect them in TWS. With this technology the music will be reproduced in true stereo mode, so one bang mini will reproduce the right channel and the other the left channel of your sound source. In this way, in addition to doubling the output power, you will have the best quality that can be sought.. the Stereo one. In TWS mode I can say that you will have enough volume even for a small house or outdoor party. Obviously, you won't be able to think of setting up a disco.. but you will certainly make a good impression and you will also have a touch of "tamarraggine" with the colored LEDs which, in time with the music, will create the right environment for the party.

PROJECTED IMPACT

I start from the assumption that each Tronsmart product will not disappoint you so you just need to understand what your needs are. If they are those of having a powerful speaker with excellent quality in the medium-high frequencies and very good in the low frequencies, then the Tronsmart Bang Mini could really be the right choice. Complete the possibility of exploiting every input audio source, it gives us some goodies such as the fast wireless connection via NFC and the possibility of using it as a power bank! Well yes, when turned on, just connect a USB Type A cable to the input to have an output recharge.

The general audio quality is always guaranteed by SoundPulse Technology, a Tronsmart proprietary technology that intervenes in the encoding and reproduction of sound. If you want to learn more, I'll post the direct link where it is explained in detail: Tronsmart SoundPulse Technology.

The possibility of using it in areas at risk of splashing water, using it as a power bank, as a speakerphone combined with our phone and the very long autonomy (which reaches up to 15 hours if used with physical support as an audio source and at about half the volume) make this Bang Mini a flawless product. If we really want to find one, but which is common to almost all tronsmarts, it is that the keys are not backlit and this feature makes their use a bit complicated in case of low light or even worse in total darkness. But this is just the classic "nit-in-the-egg".
