Within the large Xiaomi ecosystem, as we know, there are a multitude of manufacturing companies each of which deals with the production of one or more "Mi" brand products. Recently, the Chinese company ushered in the new brand MiJia under which to group all these products and to create greater order within this vast ecosystem | Mi Ecosystem and the first MiJia brand product |. Among these countless products, there is also the category of Power Banks with which Xiaomi has recently expanded through two new products, the We Power Bank Pro (10000 mAh) and the We Power Bank from 20000 mAh. Today, in fact, we will talk about the latter and we will do it through an unboxing and a general overview.
The sales package is the classic we've seen for all Xiaomi brand accessories. So, we have a white cardboard box with the "Mi”At the bottom and some technical data on the back and on the side of the package. As soon as you open the package you come across a series of manuals in Chinese but also English, with a small section inside for the identification of an original Xiaomi product from a fake one. Continuing, we find the Power Bank and in a fold of the package, the flat USB cable for charging.
Moving on to the Power Bank, it was made entirely of impact and scratch resistant thermoplastic material (PC + ABS). In addition, it has a particular dot texture both in the front part, in the lower part of which the “Mi” logo appears, and in the back, while the left and right sides are clean. On the latter, we find the on / off button slightly recessed with respect to the body to facilitate its search even in the dark. Finally, in the lower part we find some technical data, while in the upper one we find two USB outputs and the micro-USB input (Type-B) for charging, together with 4 status LEDs.
Going to the technical part, it consists of special high-density batteries specially designed for this product that are able to fully charge 4,5 times a Xiaomi Mi 4. It adopts an internal control chip Texas Industries which allows it to fully recharge (7 hours) 44% faster than other similar products. In addition, this chip provides it well 9 protection systems so as to safeguard all internal components and ensure long-term operation.
This Mi Power Bank supports input current of 5V / 2A, 9V / 2A and 12V / 1,5A and provides a maximum output current from both USB sockets 5,1V / 3,6A with an intelligent automatic voltage adjustment system based on the attached device making it compatible with many commercially available devices.
Finally, this device has a conversion rate higher than 93% with a minimum energy loss, also due to 4 LED lighting. All this is enclosed in a total weight less than two Mi Power Banks from 10000 mAh (414 gr), ie 338 grams, resulting in 18% being lighter.
As usual, Xiaomi knows how to activate users' attention on its products. We conclude by leaving you with this small question: is it possible that the presence of an English-language manual jeopardizes Xiaomi's willingness to offer this device internationally?
