Living, one of the main smartphone manufacturers in China, is about to launch a new high-end model that stands out for an innovative feature: the satellite connectionAnd. It's about the Vivo X100 Pro, which has obtained the certification of the Ministry of Industry and Information with the model number “V2309A” and which should be presented in mid-November.
Vivo X100 Pro certified in China: it will have satellite communication function
According to the rumors revealed by the blogger WHYLAB, the vivo X100 Pro will be equipped with the Dimension 9300 processor, one of the most powerful on the MediaTek platform, and the UNISOC V8821 chip, which will allow it to communicate with satellites in orbit. This means that the smartphone will be able to send and receive text messages, images, voice and video (the latter function is still under development) even in the absence of terrestrial network coverage. It is unclear whether this feature will also be available in the standard version of the vivo X100.
The vivo X100 Pro also promises to be an excellent device for photography, thanks to a high-level photographic sector. According to another blogger, Digital Chat Station, the smartphone will be equipped with a main camera with a large sensor, a large aperture, a new optical coating, a periscope for optical zoom, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a macro lens and other advanced features. The blogger also highlighted the "glass" version of the vivo X100 Pro, which presumably will have an elegant and refined design.
The vivo X100 Pro will not be the first smartphone in the world to support satellite connection, but it will be the first among Chinese manufacturers. Previously, other brands such as Meizu, Motorola and Xiaomi they had announced similar projects, but none of them have yet materialized their intentions.
Satellite connection is a technology that could revolutionize the way we communicate with smartphones, especially in emergency situations or in remote areas.
