Vivo has officially launched its new Vivo Y200i in China. This device brings with it a renewed design and some improvements compared to its predecessor launched in November; let's find out which ones.

Vivo Y200i

The Vivo Y200i comes with a 6,72-inch LCD display with FHD + resolution a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1.800 nits. There front camera from 8MP it is housed inside a central hole, thus optimizing the screen space.

As for the rear photographic compartment, the Y200i is equipped with one main camera from 50MP flanked by a 2MP portrait lens, promising high-quality, detailed shots.

The device hosts the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and 12GB of virtual RAM, plus an internal storage option of up to 512GB. The device is powered by a 6.000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support, ensuring long hours of worry-free use.

Vivo Y200i

As for the design, the Vivo Y200i sports a modern design with a flat bezel and a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, located on the side of the device. The rear panel features a slightly textured look with a circular photo module, giving the phone a distinctive look. Furthermore, the device is IP64 certified, ensuring resistance to dust and water.

From a software point of view however, the smartphone runs with OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, offering a smooth and customizable user experience.

Prices and availability

The Vivo Y200i is available in telegant colors: Blue, Glacier White and Midnight Black. The basic 8GB + 128GB model starts at a price of 1599 yuan (around 210 euros), while the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB configurations are offered at 1799 Yuan (around 240 euros) and 1999 Yuan (around 260 euros) respectively. The new smartphone is already available for pre-orders, with sales starting on April 27.

At the moment it is not clear whether the smartphone will also be released globally or whether it could change its name in the process.
