After weeks of leaks and rumors, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has finally announced the new X50 series. This includes the Vivo X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro +.
Vivo X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro + presented in China
Let's start with the latter, the Vivo X50 Pro +. The smartphone arrives with the brand new Samsung ISOCELL GN1 1 / 1.3 “50 MP sensor. It is the first to combine ISOCELL and Tetracell technologies and can take 12,5 MP photos in binning mode with huge 2,4 µm pixels.
Then we find ina periscope zoom camera for a hybrid zoom up to 60x called Hyper Zoom. The camera has an 8MP sensor and an F / 3.0 lens with an optical magnification of approximately 5x (135mm). There is also an 8 MP ultrawide lens with a 120 degree field of view and finally a fourth 13MP f / 2.5 camera for portraits and 2x optical zoom.
Other specs include a 6,56 ″ OLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 as a CPU.
Moving on to the Vivo X50 Pro. This device adopts a main camera with a gimbal-style stabilization that promises to offer more stable videos than all its competitors. It features a slightly less impressive 48 MP sensor - the Sony IMX598 - but offers faster f / 1.6 aperture. The gimbal system extends the rotation angle and anti-shake area significantly compared to standard OIS systems nowadays.
The other three cameras are almost identical with the small exception of the periscope module which offers a slightly slower f / 3.4 aperture.
The Vivo X50 Pro shares the same OLED screen but to power it there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G.
Finally, we have the Vivo X50 base with the same main camera but without a gimbal and without a periscope lens.
The X50 is the world's thinnest 5G smartphone with a thickness of only 7,49 mm. Here too we find a Snapdragon 765G and a 6,56-inch AMOLED screen.
As for prices, we have the Vivo X50 from 8GB / 128GB to € 440 and 8 GB / 256GB to € 495. The Vivo X50 Pro starts from € 540 for 8GB / 128GB and € 590 for the 8GB / 256GB version.
Finally there is the X50 Pro + with 12GB / 256GB variant at € 755 and the 8GB and 256GB variant at € 690.
