Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics giant, has launched two new limited editions of its flagship smartphones, Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro, on the occasion of the presentation of its first electric car, the SU7 sports sedan. The new models, available in olive green and bay blue, take up the colors of the electric car, which presents itself as a challenge to the Porsche Taycan in terms of performance and technology.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro: the new SU7 editions inspired by the electric car launched
The new Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro SU7 are already bookable on the Chinese JD platform and will be on sale starting from 10:00 on January 15th. At the moment, they are only available in the 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory version, at the price of 4.999 yuan (around 640 euros) for the Xiaomi 14 need 5.999 yuan (around 770 euros) for the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The price is the same as the original versions, which were available in four colors: black, white, rock green and snow pink.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro stand out for their high-level technical characteristics, which make them the strongest flagships with a "small" screen on the market. Both are equipped with the third generation Snapdragon 8 processorand LPDDR5x 8533Mbps high frequency memory and UFS 4.0 flash memory, the best specifications currently on the market regarding CPU, RAM and internal memory.
The two models differ in size, lo Xiaomi 14 has a 6,36-inch screen, with a resolution of 1200×2670 pixels, and a design with straight edges and a flat screen. The black edges are narrower and the four sides are visually equal in width. The Xiaomi 14 Pro instead has a 6,73-inch screen, with a resolution of 3200×1440 pixels, and a cover glass made with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal glass, which offers greater resistance and transparency.
The new Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro in the SU7 edition are therefore an interesting proposal for those looking for a powerful, elegant smartphone and in tune with the green philosophy of Xiaomi, which has invested 10 billion dollars in the electric car sector. There SU7, in fact, promises a range of 800 km, ultra-fast charging and a power of 673 HP, higher than that of the Porsche Taycan Turbo. Xiaomi said its electric car will be available in the first half of 2024.
