The Elk Test, as the name suggests, is a test that simulates the situation of having to avoid an elk (or other large animal) that suddenly appears on the road. This is a very demanding test for the stability and handling of the car, which must quickly change direction and then return to the original lane, without losing control or overturning.

The Elk Test was developed by the Nordic countries, where elk are widespread and represent a serious danger to road safety. The test has become an international standard (ISO 3888-2) and is used by many magazines and specialized sites to evaluate the dynamic qualities of cars.

La Xiaomi SU7 passed the Elk Test with a speed of 82km/h, on par with some legendary sports cars, such as the Ferrari 488 GTB, Lamborghini Huracan and McLaren 720S. This is an exceptional result, which testifies to the excellent work done by Xiaomi in the design and development of its first electric car.
