Xiaomi in the smartphone market has always stood out for its excellent quality / price ratio but to be honest the first examples of cell phones launched (even globally) left something to be desired in terms of photographic / video performance. Subsequently, many have resorted to escamotage, such as the de porting installation of GCam, but it has been more than a year that the Chinese company has made many steps forward in the photo field, improving its Camera application and related algorithms, so much so that win coveted awards from the accredited DxOMark.

But going beyond what is the final quality of photos and videos, Xiaomi has always looked for solutions that could help users with sensitive capacity problems. Among these we find a new function that the Chinese company has decided to implement within its Camera software to help visually impaired users struggling with this application. The function will help people with visual difficulties to take a selfie: the number of users in the selfie frame will be suggested and shown via voice assistant.
Xiaomi adds a new feature to the camera to help blind people
This feature joins the existing ones that Xiaomi has added to MIUI 11, such as the Zoom of the screen, the accessibility menu and the status selection. At the moment this feature is being tested in the ROM China Beta ROM but in all probability we will soon find it in the ROM Global through an update that Xiaomi will launch via OTA for all its devices.
