Xiaomi is the second largest wearable wearer in the world

In recent years, China's Xiaomi company, having gained the Chinese market with its smartphones, has set a much higher point, wishing to be a leading figure in other areas as well. Among these is the wearable, more specifically, the one of the fitness trackers and that, thanks to its first device (the Xiaomi Mi Band), has been able to conquer already since its first attempt. With its specifications, particularly autonomy with a single charge (30 days), and its attractive price (around 11 $), in the 2014 Xiaomi Mi Band managed to get the approval of a large number of users from all over the world, getting a great reputation and a good part of world market share, exceeding all expectations. At the end of last year, Xiaomi tried to improve its first wearable without upsetting it too much, especially in terms of energy consumption and price, and adapting to current standards. Thus, a very similar version was presented, if not identical, but with a substantial novelty: a sensor for the heartbeat with constant detection (always on). This novelty, however, did not involve a substantial increase in the price, on the contrary, with the specific intention of continuing on the path taken with its first version, Xiaomi increased the price by only $ 2, thus proposing it for only $ 13.

All this has enabled Xiaomi to build a strong presence in this area and to demonstrate this, according to the data of the "International Data Corporation (IDC), the world wearables market last year increased by 171,6% and this thanks to the enormous growth in this sector of the company itself by well the 951,8% from the 2014 2015.

Thanks to these values, the Chinese company can currently boast the title of second wearable seller in the world with well- 12 million of units sold last year and with a market share of 15,4%, positioned above Apple, Garmin, and Samsung.
