Xiaomi Game Controller officially launched: cross-platform wireless/wired joystick
The new Xiaomi Game Controller supports a total of three connection methods, namely through a wireless receiver, through a Bluetooth connection and with a USB cable. Furthermore, thanks to the mapping function of Xiaomi Game Center, you can also simulate other wireless controllers and thus use it as a remote control.
Going into detail, the Xiaomi Game Controller can be connected to Windows computers, Android smart TVs, mobile phones, tablets and other devices and supports Steam platform, Xiaomi cloud games, Tencent Start, Netease cloud games and other cloud game platforms.
In terms of controllability, Xiaomi's gamepad is equipped with a large rocker, coupled with the Hall linear trigger button, which can really simulate the game control effect during acceleration, braking and shooting. The built-in 6-axis gyroscope supports somatosensory control and the ergonomic button layout reduces wrist strain from long gaming sessions.
The brand also said that the action buttons of the gamepad can withstand at least 1 million presses.
In other respects, Xiaomi's Game Controller has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, which it has a duration of approximately 20 hours. That said the product can also be charged while playing with a wired connection. Additionally, the device supports dual-handle connection on Windows computers and smart TVs for two-player gaming.
The Xiaomi Game Controller is now on sale on the official Xiaomi Youpin store, priced at 199 yuan, about 26 euros at the exchange rate.
