The technology evolves exponentially but compared to a few years ago, the demand for the latest technological devilries on the market has also grown immeasurably. However, the increase in technological evolution has led to the disappearance of a large number of jobs, once done manually by man and now replaced by automated machines, the so-called industrial robots.
A natural evolution that affects practically any sector, which in some ways has led to an improvement in the quality of work, making this safer for the human factor as well as faster and therefore more productive. But without going too far, Xiaomi's CEO, Lei Jun, said that the company is committed to building the first fully robotic factory and that its successful completion is practically around the corner.
Xiaomi already has a robotic factory ready for smartphone assembly
A real factory in which the presence of human beings will no longer be necessary for the assembly of smartphones. As explained by Xiaomi's CEO, this new factory has several automated production lines and 5G networks to boost performance. In detail, the factory of the future will be able to autonomously assemble 60 smartphones per minute, which represents productivity performance that is 60% higher than traditional factories, i.e. those with the presence of people.
According to the latest statements, this new production plant located in Yizhuang is still in the experimental phase, that is, it is not yet ready for the series production of the new smartphones launched by Xiaomi. Good news in terms of stock replenishment, which will no longer be a problem as well as the imperfections due to the human factor should be eliminated, bringing the quality in the assembly to decidedly high levels of perfection.
What makes you think is what will happen to the specialized workers who have hitherto lent labor to the service of Xiaomi?
