As we learned about TechToday a few weeks ago, Qualcomm will release the new flagship chip, the Snapdragon 875 next December XNUMXst. But as usual, the launch of a SoC does not often coincide with its debut on the market, on the contrary, we have to wait several months especially with high-end ones. This is mainly because the demand is very high, with all the major smartphone manufacturers wanting the new chip as soon as possible and at the same time their production has not yet been optimized to the best.
Xiaomi Mi 11: one of the first devices with Snapdragon 875 and debut in January
Well, today the Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station reassures us as a fan of the Xiaomi brand. In fact, according to him, the Chinese company would be among the first manufacturers to have to receive the new Qualcomm chips. These chips will then be divided between the Xiaomi, Redmi and Black Shark brands, the brand dedicated to mobile gaming.
But it does not end there, because Digital Chat Station also claims that the first devices with the new chipset will go on sale as early as January. Those who have followed mobile technology for several years know that this is something rare, with the first models usually debuting in the middle or end of February. But in a year in which we won't see MWC 2020 in February / March due to Covid, this could be the first of a long series of, hopefully positive, news.
Returning to the chip itself, the first Xiaomi devices to equip it will clearly be the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, for the Redmi brand we have the Redmi K40 Pro which should follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, the Redmi K30 Pro (known by us as Pocophone F2 Pro) with flagship chip and an ultra competitive price. While Black Shark should integrate the Snapdragon 875 on board the next Black Shark 4 gaming phone.
