Xiaomi Mi Band 2: new feature and new update

ATTENTION: IMPORTANT UPDATES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ARTICLE

Rumors about the alleged release of an 3 Mi Band seem to have faded, but this does not stop the Xiaomi company from bring forward updates for the glorious Mi Band 2. In particular the new update of the queen of low-cost fitness band, concerns one new function which allows the 2 Mi Band to end the incoming call on your smartphone.

To activate this update you need to download the 3.2.2.1 version of the Mi Fit application that will update the 2 Mi Band at 1.0.1.69 firmware. You will not find the above version on the Play Store yet, so you can download it by clicking on the button below.

Once the new version of the Mi Fit application is installed / updated, the new firmware will be uploaded, but beware the function we are talking about will not appear in the settings, but simply upon receiving a call, just hold down the touch button below the display of the Xiaomi fintness band, and after 3 seconds we will see a phone with 3 dashes appear and immediately after a written in Chinese indicating the cancellation of the call.

If instead we touch for a moment the button will silence the call without hanging. undoubtedly a comfort, because we should no longer take the phone in hand to silence or hang up the call and let the vibration stop on our wrist, but we could manage everything directly with a finger from our 2 Mi Band. But maybe not all users will think the same way, and the absence of deciding whether or not to activate this function could be seen badly.

But the news does not end here, as perhaps most users have installed on their smartphone a modded version of the Mi Fit application, but the original version does not allow the detection of the constant heart rate but only by means of specific measurements made by the application itself or by the Mi Band 2. With the new update instead this function becomes available without having to resort to modded and unofficial versions.

The rest of the features offered by both the Mi Fit app and the 2 Mi Band remain unchanged, but if you're curious or interested in the new call hang-up feature then download the application from the button in the paragraphs above.

UPDATE UPDATE

As a result of the numerous feedback received on social Facebook, it is evident that the continuous heart rate monitoring function does not seem to work on many devices. Moreover, the name of the calling ID is not present when a call is received, thus considering the new function superfluous, as many have commented saying: "What's the point of refusing a call if we don't even know who is making it?".

Therefore to overcome all these problems proceed with the installation of the Mi Fit version of which I spoke above. Once the firmware update has been performed you can uninstall Mi Fit and install the moddata version, downloadable from the button below, which will allow you to enable the missing functions while keeping the one listed above active. I do not know who to give thanks, but in any case I assume that the same go to modder @xC.
