Towards the end of last year, Xiaomi presented its third version of its magnificent Mi TV from 55 "inches along with another product, the Xiaomi Mi Box 3. After a few months, the company re-proposes its smart box but with an essential innovation. Welcome to its improved version, the Mi Box 3 Enhanced Edition!
This new version is characterized by a Renewed design, from new and better performances. In fact, inside it we find a new processor that moves everything, that is, the MediaTek MT8693 to 64-bit with 2 core A72 (2 GHz) and 4 core A53 (1,6 GHZ), associated with a graphics card PowerVR GX6250 which exploits the OpenGL ES 3.1.
This combination allows the new Mi Box 3 to reach more than 66 thousand points on Antutu Benchmark, with a performance increase compared to the previous version of '80% for the CPU and well 240% for the 3D GPU.
The merit, however, is also given to RAM, which in this case has doubled (2 GB LPDDR3). Not only that, the internal memory has also doubled, actually coming to 8 GB (always eMMC 5.0).
Another novelty concerns the cooling system of the device, which is now developed by the company itself and is able to adapt the fan speed according to the processor temperature.
Absolutely novel, is the presence of the new connection Wi-Fi 802.11ac 2X2 characterized by:
- Higher speeds (6 times greater), which can simultaneously play more than one Blu-Ray movie
- More capacity (3 times greater) than concurrent connections
- Greater coverage (faster download speeds even though distant from the device)
- Less energy consumption
Finally, they complete the all-in-one, Bluetooth 4.1 LE (low energy) associated with the new controller with internal sensors, H.265 10bit 4K file support at 60 FPS with Dolby and DTS and the new Android based XUUMX Lollipop MIUI TV.
The availability in our country, as for the rest of Xiaomi products, is related to third-party resellers, so it will vary according to their times. As for the price, as per Xiaomi tradition, it is very competitive considering the hardware it is equipped with and, more specifically, we are talking about ¥ 399 which corresponds to only 55 €.
