Recently Xiaomi presented the Mi Max which despite the generous 6.44-inch display, stands on a "medium" range that has not satisfied the most demanding users. Then it begins the wait for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, successor to a model that has received excellent reviews from users despite the “important” price. According to the latest news, it Xiaomi MI Note 2 will be presented in September in 2 versions. One with dual rear camera, and one normal. Unibody metal body, Snapdragon 823 SoC and 6GB of RAM.
This news comes right after Apple's recent denial about the rumors about the dual camera of the iPhone 7 plus which seemed now certain. Xiaomi instead joins OPPO and Vivo as the next manufacturer to want to invest in this choice. We'll see who will do it first.
The Xiaomi MI Note 2 will therefore almost certainly be the first Xiaomi phone to adopt a "dual camera" which should be from 12mpx. Xiaomi has been provided with a prototype to be seen from same production for the Apple 7 plus with which it will probably share some parts: the 6 lens set, the 12mpx sensor, etc. Such adoption should provide a "long focus" effect, a greater viewing angle and through an algorithm for combining the 2 images it will be possible to obtain a quality never seen before. However, the possible adoption of the OIS still remains in doubt, as happened also for the Huawei P9, probably due to the same difficulty in the simultaneous stabilization of the 2 lenses.
As for the single camera model, the adoption of the Sony IMX378 and OV4688 sensor seems to be confirmed, confirming that it will have a 12mpx rear camera (the same as HTC 10 with OIS support) and a 4mpx front camera. Also confirmed the 5.7-inch display and 6GB of RAM, driven by the Snapdragon 823. Obviously it will mount the MIUI8, a 4.000mAh battery and will support the iris recognition. Instead, it was denied the initial voice that advanced the hypothesis of a waterproof body.
September is not far away and the doubts begin to collapse, we will see what rumors will be confirmed or denied.
