According to what was published on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter): “The Mi TV Master Extreme Commemorative Edition integrates the black cross-age technology, which is five years ahead of its competitors. The debut is set for September 28th ”.

In the promotional poster, the commemorative edition of the Mi TV Master Extreme has not been revealed, but we have already seen that 8K and 5G will be the strengths of the new product. So we will not only have 8K resolution, but also 5G network support. For the uninitiated, this will be Xiaomi's first 8K TV.

As for the other specifications, these are temporarily unknown. However, according to previous revelations, two new Xiaomi TVs have been certified online, both use 82-inch LGD screens, manufactured by Xinpu (Guangzhou) Electronics Co., Ltd. The models are L82M6-8K, L82M6 -4K, which correspond to 8K and 4K resolution versions.

At the moment, Xiaomi TV uses 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) on its televisions, in fact we have the previously released 98-inch Redmi TV and the Xiaomi Transparent TV, which have tried to differentiate themselves more in general dimensions and design innovation than for resolution.

Now, with the upcoming Xiaomi Mi TV Master Extreme Commemorative Edition, the brand will also try to stand out for its 8K resolution and 5G connectivity, two technologies that could become a winning combination, at least in some countries, with 5G connectivity in the coming years. capable of downloading high-resolution videos in real time and TVs capable of playing this content at the highest quality. All without slowing down the home network in any way or maybe we will not have a home network, with 5G smartphones, tablets and laptops all equipped with their 5G SIM for an ultra fast and secure connection wherever you are.

Anyway, back to the TV itself, Samsung, LG, TCL, Skyworth, Hisense, Changhong, Konka, and Haier have all launched 8K TVs in recent months. As Xiaomi is the most successful brand in the field of TVs in China, it will be interesting to see how quickly it will also conquer the 8K TV category.

What do you think of 8K TVs? Are they already a must have or is 4K resolution still enough? And does 5G seem functional or is it just marketing? Let us know in the comments section below!

Why claim 5G on a TV is useless?
Already between October and November, both fastweb and other operators will begin to market a new FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) technology which in a nutshell, we could define a fixed network 5G, in those areas where cable fiber cannot reach.
So it is not a marketing gimmick, but a reconfirmation, that Xiaomi is always forward-looking and ahead of everyone even in design.
