In the last period Xiaomi does not seem to be doing well, being at the center of some controversies regarding the concept of privacy. In India, the applications of the Chinese technological giant were even banned and the brand's stores were disguised in order to avoid retaliation to the goods and to the employees. So in an attempt to clean up its image, Xiaomi has made public how the disks that reside on its servers are destroyed in order to protect our privacy, through a process that avoids any form of recovery of data stored on these devices.
It is directly the president of the Xiaomi security and privacy committee that makes the matter public, showing step by step how the storage units on their servers are literally destroyed.

The images that are proposed to us highlight the entire process that involves the disassembly and relative demagnetization of the memory disk which is subsequently introduced into a sort of shredder, making the data (encrypted) completely unrecoverable. Through this process Xiaomi tries to get in line with all the various laws that regulate data protection, eliminating all traces of our most sensitive data.
We do not know if Xiaomi will succeed in the "washing" of its image and if it will be able to silence all the criticisms and accusations made against it regarding the violation of privacy made against users, such as data collection through the incognito mode of the Mi Browser, but we trust that the company will certainly have understood the lesson.
