MIUI 12 has finally been released for a few weeks and in the next few days the Global Stable version is preparing to peep on many devices of the Xiaomi and Redmi brand. Some beta versions have already landed on terminals such as Mi 9, Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro, allowing lucky users to be able to try out the functionality of the new system interface, but with today Lei Jun's company has published a list of smartphones that in brene will no longer receive any support and development from the MIUI 12 team.
A news that falls on us like a boulder for many users who today still boast the possession of old glories, such as Xiaomi Mi 6, Mi 6X, Mi Note 3, Mi Mix 2 and Redmi Note 5, terminals that already starting from June 20 They will end their adventure with MIUI 12 but to these are added as many devices, former top of the range equipped with the Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood and which still today give joy to owners.
Xiaomi publishes the list of smartphones that will no longer receive support for MIUI 12
The lack of support will take place from September 5, 2020, the date on which the following devices will stop receiving new development beta versions (Chinese ROM):
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite
- Xiaomi Mi 8 SE
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 8
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
- Xiaomi Mi Max 3
A list of smartphones certainly nourished and that really leaves a bad taste in the mouth, also because at the moment Xiaomi has not released the reasons that pushed towards this solution. On the other hand, the Asian brand had gained the trust of tech users precisely for the support towards devices even dated, but inevitably with the increase of many models (often to which duplicates between them) the MIUI 12 development team fails to stay behind this mass of devices.
Therefore the models mentioned will stop receiving new beta versions and MIUI 12 will probably be the last official release they will be able to benefit from, except for some stable versions designed to correct serious errors. So let's put our souls in peace, because MIUI 13 and even less Android 11 for these terminals will be just a mirage, with the exception of last-minute program changes by Xiaomi.

I am sure that for their components they could have received updates for another 2/3 years at least. After entering the European market, Xiaomi is going down a lot and is disappointing those who have followed it since the beginning. After the exorbitant and unjustified increase in prices of his new devices (and here there would really be a lot to talk about since the words of the Xiaomi president were "smartphones over € 599... Alfonso you're right too a fan of Xiaomi when he didn't know him yet nobody is disappointed too many similar models that overlap and are consequently abandoned I don't think it's the right way my wife and I have been owners of seven brand models in the future I have doubts about a possible purchase of a new model
Terrible!!!!!
But then these phones will receive miui 12 yes or no?
As is the rollout program they should receive the update and then terminate support.
