The device represents a novelty in the smartphone landscape, as it supports the standard of Tiantong satellite communication and technology 5G-enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), which guarantees greater speed and stability of the connection.

The 2311BPN23C model could be the long-awaited one Xiaomi MIX 5, the next flagship of the MIX series, which is characterized by its innovative design and high-level performance. According to some rumors, the Xiaomi MIX 5 should have a 6,73-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 8 Gen processor 3, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The operating system will beà Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0 user interface, customized by Xiaomi.

Among these, Huawei, Honor and OPPO have already presented their models with satellite technology, while Xiaomi had limited itself to spreading some rumors, without official confirmation.
However, according to blogger Smart Pikachu, Xiaomi is testing three smartphones with folding screens, and two of them have already taken shape and have tested satellite communication functions. It would therefore be a Xiaomi strategy to surprise the market with a device that combines the innovative design of the folding screen with the advanced connectivity of 5G satellite.
The Xiaomi MIX 5 does not yet have an official launch date, but according to some sources it could arrive in 2025.
