On the Xiaomi Youpin platform, the brand has just launched a new Smart Clock with a thermometer and hygrometer function. The new product comes with a price of 149 yuan, about 18 euros at the current exchange rate.

The Xiaomi Smart Clock uses an electronic ink screen, with temperature and humidity monitoring, smart alarm, one-button timer and many other features.
Let's start with the first function (in addition to that of a clock) which allows it to measure temperature and humidity in real time and then show all the various data on the E-ink electronic ink screen. As some of you may know, this type of display has a visual effect similar to paper, therefore very easy to read without straining the eyes. At the same time it guarantees extremely low energy consumption compared to an LCD display.
The Xiaomi Smart Clock is then equipped with a high-precision digital sensor produced by the Swiss company of Swiss Sensirion, able to quickly and accurately detect subtle changes in temperature and humidity. Furthermore, since the product adopts a Bluetooth module and is compatible with Mijia's gateway, this can be connected to other smart devices that we have in the house to improve the heating and cooling of the interior, making everything easier and automated.
As for the clock part, the Smart Clock incorporates a high precision RTC clock chip and a spare battery. Then the time set the first time you turn on will still be correct even after replacing the battery.
Long pressing the alarm touch button above the clock activates the function to measure temperature and humidity, while to stop the alarm simply touch any touch button on the device. In any case, to set the alarm you need to use the dedicated app in which you can create 18 groups.
Finally, the Xiaomi Smart Clock also supports the one-key timer function. This has two ways of counting the time, both forwards and backwards, in order to satisfy different needs.
