Xiaomi and WWF: together to save this endangered animal

When we talk about Xiaomi let's think about technology. It is right that this is the case, but the Chinese giant puts its hands on initiatives that go beyond the tech sector. Let's talk today about animals, even if it's not the first time we've done it. One of the points on the agenda of Chinese society is the protection of animals. In its "small", even the Xiaomi headquarters in Beijing protects some animals and makes it its own mascot. But right now we are talking about an even more important initiative: one collaboration between Xiaomi and WWF to protect the Snow leopard. It is an animal that lives in areas such as Russia and Tibet and which is unfortunately in way of extinction.

Xiaomi has entered into a sort of partnership with WWF Russia: together they raise funds to save the snow leopard, now endangered

Xiaomi announced which together with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) will take care of the conservation of the snow leopard population in Russia: for this a special mobile application has been developed NEXT GIS Collector. Expedition members in areas inhabited by the snow leopard will be able to record information with a single touch of the screen instead of filling out multiple paper forms. Guess how? With a Xiaomi smartphone, or rather Redmi. Information from each smartphone will be transferred to a common server as soon as the device connects to the Internet. Thanks to this, i times data processing and analysis will be significantly reduced.

The choice of these gadgets was not accidental: the high battery capacity of Redmi Note 10S will allow environmentalists to do without recharging devices for a long time. The powerbank on the other hand will help stay away from the current longer. Fundamental thing in that glacial environment.

In addition to the aforementioned equipment, Xiaomi it will also allocate other resources which will be donated to WWF to combat poaching in the Altai-Sayan ecoregion. With their help, anti-poaching raids will be organized and additional photo traps will be installed. Even the Xiaomi users who do not participate in the expeditions can help.
