Xiaomi: sales record for wearables and TVs during the 11.11 festival

The official account of Xiaomi Group has in fact published a report on the sales of wearable devices, as well as the brand's TVs.

But let's start with wearables. According to official data, starting from 0:30 on November 11th, the cumulative sales of Xiaomi wearables on all platforms have exceeded 2 million, therefore very high numbers. According to what can be seen on the Chinese store of JD.com, the most popular Xiaomi wearable devices include the Redmi Watch 2, the MiTu Kids Phone Watch 5C and the Mi Watch Color 2.

Among these, the Redmi Watch 2 smartwatch is the latest wearable launched by Redmi in October, with a price during the Jingdong Double 11 promotion of 339 yuan, about 46 euros. We quickly recall that the smartwatch is equipped with a large 1,6-inch AMOLED screen, a weight of 31 grams, supports NFC and is waterproof up to 50 meters under water. The Redmi Watch 2 also supports blood oxygen detection and 24/24 heart rate monitoring, is equipped with 117 sports modes and supports independent satellite positioning. In terms of battery life, the Redmi Watch 2 has a 12-day battery life and supports magnetic charging.

As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi has also released a report on the sales of their TVs. According to the brand, the cumulative sales of the TV category on all platforms exceeded 2,5 billion yuan (340 million euros).

In particular:

  • Cumulative sales of Xiaomi OLED TVs have exceeded 12.000 units;
  • Cumulative sales of Redmi Smart TV X 2022 have exceeded 32.000 units;
  • Cumulative sales of the 86-inch Redmi MAX TVs exceeded 25.000 units.

The platforms on which the TVs went on sale include Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Home, Xiaomi Youpin, the main authorized e-commerce companies and authorized resellers.

Recall that in September of this year, sales of the new Xiaomi OLED TV exceeded 10.000 units in 15 days, setting a new industry record. Since then, the Xiaomi OLED TV has captured the No. 1 in China for two consecutive months, which has allowed high-end, high-quality OLED TVs to become more and more mainstream.

In October of this year, the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 was released, which adheres to Redmi's concept of extreme value for money, positioning it as a “new flagship for young people”, with a complete configuration upgrade. In fact, we find a refresh rate of 120Hz for a more fluid vision of movies or video games than ever and without lag; a high-end quad-core A73 processor for lag-free computing power; and next-generation HDMI2.1 interface for smooth, low-latency gaming.

For pricing, the 2022-inch and 55-inch Redmi Smart TV X 65 models are priced at 2999 yuan (410 euros) and 3999 yuan (550 euros), respectively.

As for the 86-inch Redmi Smart TV MAX, this has lowered the prices of mega TVs to a price of less than 10.000 yuan, on 1300 euros. The front of the fuselage adopts a full screen design and the full metal drawing process creates a sense of no edges. The screen-to-body ratio reaches 97,25%. The 86-inch screen size is equivalent to four 43-inch TVs.

At the same time, in order to solve the problem of the difficulty of users to be able to bring such a large TV into the house, Redmi has officially designed a packaging solution with a special shape, the first diamond-cut corner design, so as to reduce its size. .
