From China comes the news that the launch date of the OPPO Reno 9 series has been confirmed. The company reportedly already sent out invitations for November 24 at 14:30pm local time. The OPPO Reno 9 series should consist of three models, the basic one, the Pro and the Pro +.
OPPO Reno 9: we have a launch date for the highly anticipated mid-range series
The invitation to the presentation does not mention key details about the Reno 9 series but leakster Yadav and a Weibo user say that the regular and Pro variants will be powered by the Snapdragon 778G and Dimensity 8100 chipsets respectively. The Pro+ model will be equipped with a Snapdragon SoC 8+ Jan 1.
The user also adds that the Reno 9 Pro+ will include premium specs including a 1080p micro-curved screen, a 4700mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and a Sony IMX890 main camera. For the rest, the three devices will run with Android 13.
Furthermore, renders of the OPPO Reno 9 series have also been leaked online. The smartphones look identical with a display with a hole in the center and curved edges. The back panel doesn't have a protruding camera module, but there is a rectangular island that houses camera rings and LED flash units. Furthermore, the Reno 9 and 9 Pro will come with dual cameras, while the Pro+ model appears with an additional camera.
