Qualcomm is back this year with two powerful chipsets, the Snapdragon 820 and the Snapdragon 821. Almost every top of the range on the market is equipped with one of these two processors and this is not surprising given the performance they guarantee.
This means that expectations for the Snapdargon 830, which is expected to launch in early 2017, are very high. The device will have to be more powerful and more efficient than its predecessor and the rumors speak of good specifications for the chip, such as the 8-core Kryo architecture, 10 nm construction process and LTE Cat. 16 support.
According to analyst Kevin Wang, the new Qualcomm chipset (which according to authoritative sources should be part of the hardware of the Samsung S8) may not be called Snapdragon 830, but Snapdragon 835. Unfortunately, the analyst did not explain the reason for this nomenclature. The Snapdragon 830 could still be launched in the next few months and in this case it would represent an alternative (probably less performing in terms of clock speed) to the 835, as happened for the current top-of-the-range chips of the American company.
