Xiaomi patents a new design for the battery of its electric car

Xiaomi, the well-known smartphone and electronics manufacturer, is entering the smartphone market electric cars with an innovative battery design. According to the website of Tianyancha, Xiaomi Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. obtained the patent for “Battery and integrated body and vehicle structure“, which involves integrating the battery into the bodywork of the vehicle.

The patent describes a structure that includes a body and a battery pack. The body includes two beams, which are spaced along the left-right direction of the vehicle. Each beam is equipped with a battery pack installation part.

The advantage of this design is that the top of the battery pack shell is integrated with a cross beam, which can strengthen the main body of the shell and improve the rigidity and lateral impact force transmission ability of the battery pack shell .

In addition, the upper part of the main body of the shell serves as a floor panel, which improves the degree of vehicle integration, reduce the weight of the body structure, make lightweight vehicles and increase the vehicle's autonomy.

Xiaomi has already revealed more than 1000 patent information, covering aspects such as electric motor assembly, digital car key, wireless charging method, multiple camera image fusion method and others, proving its ambition and its expertise in the electric car sector.

Recently, two Xiaomi electric vehicles appeared in the new product announcement list of the 377th batch of “Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products” of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Information from the ministry shows that Xiaomi Motors currently has three models: SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max, and the product brand is Xiaomi.

As for the battery, the SU7 is equipped with a BYD lithium iron phosphate battery, while SU7 Max/Pro are equipped with a CATL lithium battery.

According to previous revelations, the single-motor SU7 model will have a peak output of 220 kilowatts and maximum speed of 210 km / h. Model The dual-motor SU7 Max has a peak output of 220 and 275 kilowatts respectively, and one maximum speed of 265 km / h.
