Amazon took advantage of the last day of this long summer 2022 for present a new tablet for its catalog. After many months of waiting, the renewal of Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8 it is a matter of fact. The new tablet retains many elements of the previous generation but changes some things, especially improving its performance. As before, Amazon remains operational Android stock for your Kindle devices, without Google services. A branch of Android AOSP that incorporates Amazon Appstore but for which it offers no additional information.
Amazon's new Kindle Fire HD 8 comes with an 8 ″ screen diagonal. The device mounts a IPS panel with an HD resolution of 1.280 x 800 pixels, which is sufficient but leaves the screen density below 200 pixels per inch. And for the battery, without giving a precise figure, it promises up to 13 hours of autonomy and which recharges to 100% in two hours thanks to the 15W fast charge. It should be noted, however, that the charger in the package is only 5W.
The processor is an unknown eight-core model that runs at 2GHz and is supported by a single version of RAM, 2 GB and two internal storage configurations: 32 GB e 64 GB. If desired, we can expand the memory with a microSD that can reach up to 1 TB of capacity. As for the cameras and here we have a sensor from 2 megapixel rear and another 2 megapixel sensor in front. The new Kindle Fire HD 8 comes with WiFi 5, a headphone jack and a door USB type C for charging and file transfer.
As is often the case with Amazon-branded products, the company offers its new Kindle Fire HD 8 in two modes, one with advertising and the other without advertising. Clearly, the latter is the most expensive. The official prices are as follows:
