Qualcomm announced through its Weibo page that will unveil its new processor Snapdragon 835 to an event that will take place at Beijing the 22 March. The event will focus solely on the Asian mobile site debut of the new mobile chip, and a CPU prototype will showcase itself.
Snapdragon 835 is designed with architecture a 10nm octacore of which four of these cores are clocked at 2.45 GHz and the remaining four clocked at 1.9 GHz. The new chipset will also be equipped with the high-performance Adreno GPU 540.
Qualcomm also states that the new CPU will be equipped with a new one modem LTE X16 offering up to 1 gigabit download speed, the first for a mobile processor. Snapdragon 835 has a smaller 50% than last generation but despite this, the energy consumption of about a 60% has also been improved. Finally, the Quick Charge 4.0 will accompany the module to ensure better 30% efficiency than 3.0 fast charging.
The Snapdragon 835 will be the CPU and the soul of the future Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, and Xiaomi Mi 6. So this conference seems to confirm the release of the new top Xiaomi range scheduled for the 16th April.
